The cattle have been moved to higher pastures.  I’m not sure how the pipe to the boating lakes will be connected to the sea, a mystery......

A frosty start yesterday. And clouds in the rising sun
Image
Another stonechat posed today.  And barnacle and greylag geese passed overhead
Image
It is still possible to walk up the beach but it is now a step down.  Plenty of meadow pipits feeding on the side of the cliffs. Sea foam
Image
The strong winds yesterday turned the beach into a miniature lunar landscape.
Image
Stonechat posed this afternoon.

No sun this morning but the kestrel was still out looking for prey The beach has charged with sand and the levels risen by about a metre.  It is now easy to get from the concrete path onto the sand.
Image
Typical grey November day this morning but yesterday was beautiful.  In the early morning sun a kestrel watched out over the sea. The underside of lapwings caught the sun.  And bracken looked bronze against the blue sky

Teal on the lagoon. The old pipe from the sea to the boating lakes is being re-lined.
Image
Quite a frost this morning. The Monarch in the early morning sun. Female reed buntings enjoying the sun.
Image
What a colour! About 20 lapwing on the stubble field.  This wader was on the lagoon and too far off to photograph properly in the poor light.
Image
A cold north westerly this morning.  The Alfa Italia is still at anchor, it was joined this morning by the supply vessel Bibby Wavemaster. And the Atlantic Merlin
Image
Despite the strong southerly winds, lots of ducks and geese flying south just above the waves. Wigeon And Brent Geese

A bit close for comfort? Paddle boarding near the pier.

Clear skies this morning and the first autumn frost. The low sun was reflected off one of the groynes. A few turnstones feeding. And meadow pipits on the cliff top. A kestrel hovered in the early morning sun. And a little grebe appeared on the paddle boat pond.
