Rain stopped play.

The green alkanet is blooming. Yellow archangel also on the roadside. And the wych elm is greening.

More wheatears passing through. First swallow have seen this year not in flight Song thrush busy feeding Escapee piglets Wren about to take flight

The first ducklings of the year on the lagoon. Mallards asleep on the car park

The first of the cattle arrived yesterday, a Highland plus calf. Ducks on a seaside break

Solitary bees with hairy legs sunning themselves. And a starling sun bathing

A strange sight yesterday evening two ducks on top of the neighbour’s leylandii. Mimosa looking good And the magnolia Shelduck this morning.

Yesterday I saw the first sand martins, swallows and a whitethroat. Skylarks on the ground  And mallards One on the roof A wren singing in the willows And colourful greenfinches

Charm of goldfinches. And a Christmas Tree at Easter!  Where has it been and why have the needles survived so well?
