Beach hut moving today.

Purple sandpiper back on the groynes and a parasol mushroom that was about a foot in diameter.

Three redshank on scrape.  Short eared owl this morning. A harrier, also being mobbed. And mushrooms in the sheep paddock.

The sea is very rough today, water is coming over the slipway at the north of the promenade and spray from the waves coming over the sea wall into the overspill car park.  Several teal on the model yacht pond scrape.

The fire breathing dragon is still on North Road. And the godwit on the model yacht pond. The rest of the photos are devoted to boats. The first on the paddle boat pond. The Vigilant, a research survey vessel out of The Netherlands The City of Oslo, a vehicle carrier, out of Singapore. Tina, a container ship, out of The Netherlands The Alfa Italia, a crude oil tanker, out of the Bahamas

Although most of the sheep have gone from the paddock, The Monarch is still here. Snipe on the model yacht pond.

Awaiting sun rise.

A surfer drove up this morning and decided that there was not enough swell, a seal was enjoying the lack of any human company. Looking north there was something that looked like cliff fall, but it was a long way from the base of the cliffs. Closer, the tops of the pyramids had been revealed.

Redshank and teal on the lagoon this morning.
Image
Wet and windy but a surfer braved the inclement conditions.

A very gloomy morning, a lone lapwing joined the godwit at the model yacht pond.  The sun started to break through later and the nerines were still looking colourful.  About 100 greylag on the fields.

Another sunny day. A good crop of teasels  I was amused by this pile of builders debris, the notices read: Work in progress Community garden Volunteers

Marsh Harrier overhead and lots of meadow pipits at the sheep paddocks.  I thought some piling was going on at Easton Bavents but it was the rams clashing heads.  Do sheep have a rutting season? Starling numbers are building and small murmurations developing.  This morning starlings were joined by a charm of goldfinches.
