The star yesterday was a grey phalarope on The Flash. Only a couple of hundred are seen in the U.K. each year. They breed in the arctic and spend most of their time at sea. They only come ashore here if they are blown off course by high winds. It was a long way off and the light poor, hence the grainy shots.
